Butterfly Valves
How it works:
Butterfly valves are a type of quarter-turn valve used to control the flow of a fluid (liquid or gas) through a pipe. Theses valves are named from the disc or "butterfly" that acts as the closing mechanism. In the closed position, the disc blocks the valve bore while in the open position, the disc is oriented perpendicular to the flow direction to allow flow.
